Abused daily
If you are new to dewalt tools this set is cheap because it is the older “brushed” design. All new dewalt tools are brushless which are lighter and in theory last longer. That being said I am a contractor and use this set daily and have no complaints. The impact is just as powerful as the brushless models and I can’t feel a weight difference. I recommend buying the 2x 5ah battery kit with the fast charger. Between those and the supplied batteries you can work all day. You also get more power out of the impact with a larger battery.

Great product I recommend this product to all handyman at first I would say to myself why would I want a cordless drill I already had an electric one, but once I order it can’t stop finding ways just to use it always ready to go charged no hassle in looking for extensions cord plug outlet, just get the bag I ordered the drill bits and accessories carry those in bag everything together great product.

The debate for a drill has been a while. Walt always looks good, out-performing repeatedly. I’ve been forced to buy lesser quality drills, knowing what needed done. If it’s going to earn its keep, by being pushed to its limits constantly (life), you will pay in the end, physically. Good tools make work a little easier, they listen, and do react when a cheap bit is used with it. Thank you.

Impact driver smokes
I got two of these because I had to return the first one since the impact driver smoked and smelled like burning when I ran it. When I got the second one, I had the same problem. You can clearly see the sparks inside when you run it and then you can smell the burning. I’m hoping it’s just a bit of excess machine grease or something from the factory that will burn off after some use. Will update this review after I use it for a while to see if it gets better.Other than that, it’s a great kit to get the impact driver, drill, two batteries and the sturdy carrying bag for under $150. I’m starting to think that the massive discount is because of some quality control issues with the impact driver, but it’s till a good deal regardless. Besides the smoke issue, the drill and driver both work great. I’ve done small projects around the house and they performed well. The light is also a nice touch to help you see what your drilling/driving.The ergonomics are also good. It’s nice that it’s a bit lighter but it doesn’t sacrifice feeling sturdy in the process. So it balances comfort with confidence in its durability.Once I’ve used both the drill and driver a bit more, I’ll come back and update the review. Til then, I’m not upset that I bought it (even with the smoking issue).Update: I’ve been using the impact driver quite a bit recently and can say that the burning smell does not entirely go away, though it doesn’t smoke at all and it doesn’t smell as bad as it did at the beginning. The driver itself works great though so I’m bumping this up a star. If I were to do it again, I would have just paid the extra to get the brushless driver, but given I’m using this for DIY once in a while and am not doing daily jobs, I’m fine with it since it works great. I also got a cheap 6.0Ah battery that fits Dewalt 20v tools and the power I get out of it is good enough to do pretty much anything I’d ever need to do around the house.

Performs well
The product performs well. However, I have a 12V Hitachi that is lighter and feels better in my hand so it continues to be my go-to drill. When more power is needed, the Dewalt fills the bill. Previously, I had a Ryobi that I used when I needed more power. Don’t waste you money on one of these. You get what you pay for.

We already have 4 chain saws, including a Sager (love it but not as much as this one).Well thought-out design, great balance and handling, PLUS the fact it works from a DeWalt battery makes this my number one choice.We live near the Daniel Boone National Forest on a 3.5 acre mountain top with 40-50 trees needing to be thinned out. This saw easily cut through 10″ red maple and many others with ease. Trimming branches was a breeze!The self-oiling feature is a must… all my other small ones have to be manually oiled every few minutes so this makes life in the forest much less work. It proved its self! We waited to post this until we had plenty of experience so here is my take on a great product…LeRoy, Abnb owner in Kentucky.

Do it Again
It’s a great deal for a durable tool. I used Dewalt for years, but my problem with them is that I wind up having to upgrade over the years. With the new features and design, this tool is unchallengeable. I recommend Dewalt for both professional work and being a weekend warrior. In my shop, my Dewalt tools get a daily beating and too much confidence, but they rarely break or chip.

I’m the wife but I get more excited about power tools than my hubby does. When I scored this set.. it was like Christmas and my birthday combined!! It’s all I can do to not use the convenient storage bag as a purse just to show off! 😂They are both powerful and hold a charge for a good long time. Batteries were included for both the impact and regular drills as well as a single charger. It’s all I need to get things done efficiently and with some ooompff!! My son borrowed the impact drill to loosen the bolt for his oil change. He wasn’t expecting the power it delivers and darn near broke his wrist when it grabbed on and ramped up on a very tight bolt.I’m one happy home improvement camper!!♥️

High quality tool – You’ll hardly regret
I’ve never used a tool this quality before. I thought that cordless meant powerless but I was wrong. If you are planning a work that will take time, you have to make sure the batteries are fully charged – good thing you have 2 of them. I recommend to also buy the drill and screwdriver bits sets and there would almost no thing you can’t get done.

Solid and powerful!
I purchased these to replace an old 12 volt power driver to put up hurricane shutters here in Florida recently. These drivers are just miles above in power, battery life, and functionality. I was able to put up all of my shutters on a single charge of a single battery on the entire house without any noticeable drop in performance. The impact driver is surprisingly powerful for it’s size. This is my first battery powered impact driver and I can’t figure out why I waited so long to get one.I don’t really have anything bad to say about these units. I like the bag that comes with them – it’s heavy canvas and makes a nice tool bag.Overall, I am very happy with this purchase. The price is good for what you get and the quality appears to be first rate.

Light weight and powerful… and one hell of a deal.
At $129.00 I thought this was a great deal, you could pay much for the batteries and charger, so I wasn’t expecting much out of the tools. I haven’t tried the impact driver yet but I really like the drill. I like the variable speed and two stage transmission- low range for driving, high range for drilling. Nice bag too, holds both tools, both batteries, the charger, and more. Seems sturdy too. I haven’t given the tools a tough workout yet but so far I like it.

Long battery life, smoothe feel, nice weight. I know everyone is on the Milwakee tool craze. They are good tools. If your like me and don’t make a living with daily tool use. But instead tackle weekend projecys, Dewalt is the way to go. I’ve never had an issues with these tools. The operate flawlessly. Battery life is great providing long use. I love my DeWalt tools. They have always been very dependable and ready to us3. But mine are over 12 years old. So i am starting to update them. Aside from thebprice, the primary draw for me is that it comes with 2 batteries and a charger. I bought 2 batteries and a charger about 6 months ago at HD and it was over $200 without any tools. So getting a couple of drills and paying $80 less is a bonus.The drill is just a basic drill. Not a screwgun, so its tbe least useful for my work. The impact driver tbough is a lightweight little beast. 3 LEDs around the chuck light the work area. It has good torque and power. I still have my old one but this one is smaller and lighter. And has a belt clip. All plus’s in my opinion. If you can get this package for under $200, do it. Even just for the batteries.

I purchased this as an upgrade to my drills I’ve had for a decade. The power and battery life immediately changed show to be a difference and worth the money. Great drill at a great price!

Impact driver smokes
I got two of these because I had to return the first one since the impact driver smoked and smelled like burning when I ran it. When I got the second one, I had the same problem. You can clearly see the sparks inside when you run it and then you can smell the burning. I’m hoping it’s just a bit of excess machine grease or something from the factory that will burn off after some use. Will update this review after I use it for a while to see if it gets better.Other than that, it’s a great kit to get the impact driver, drill, two batteries and the sturdy carrying bag for under $150. I’m starting to think that the massive discount is because of some quality control issues with the impact driver, but it’s till a good deal regardless. Besides the smoke issue, the drill and driver both work great. I’ve done small projects around the house and they performed well. The light is also a nice touch to help you see what your drilling/driving.The ergonomics are also good. It’s nice that it’s a bit lighter but it doesn’t sacrifice feeling sturdy in the process. So it balances comfort with confidence in its durability.Once I’ve used both the drill and driver a bit more, I’ll come back and update the review. Til then, I’m not upset that I bought it (even with the smoking issue).Update: I’ve been using the impact driver quite a bit recently and can say that the burning smell does not entirely go away, though it doesn’t smoke at all and it doesn’t smell as bad as it did at the beginning. The driver itself works great though so I’m bumping this up a star. If I were to do it again, I would have just paid the extra to get the brushless driver, but given I’m using this for DIY once in a while and am not doing daily jobs, I’m fine with it since it works great. I also got a cheap 6.0Ah battery that fits Dewalt 20v tools and the power I get out of it is good enough to do pretty much anything I’d ever need to do around the house.

Battery is a little hard to remove… Drill is on the heavy side… Other than that GREAT 👍

Performs well
The product performs well. However, I have a 12V Hitachi that is lighter and feels better in my hand so it continues to be my go-to drill. When more power is needed, the Dewalt fills the bill. Previously, I had a Ryobi that I used when I needed more power. Don’t waste you money on one of these. You get what you pay for.

Awesome is the best description!
We already have 4 chain saws, including a Sager (love it but not as much as this one).Well thought-out design, great balance and handling, PLUS the fact it works from a DeWalt battery makes this my number one choice.We live near the Daniel Boone National Forest on a 3.5 acre mountain top with 40-50 trees needing to be thinned out. This saw easily cut through 10″ red maple and many others with ease. Trimming branches was a breeze!The self-oiling feature is a must… all my other small ones have to be manually oiled every few minutes so this makes life in the forest much less work. It proved its self! We waited to post this until we had plenty of experience so here is my take on a great product…LeRoy, Abnb owner in Kentucky.
